May 11, 2026 - An interdisciplinary team at Magdeburg University Hospital has successfully removed an unusually large benign tumor of the sciatic nerve. The 38-year-old patient had suffered from severe pain and neurological symptoms for years. The tumor had previously been deemed inoperable due to its size.
